Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is the second anime adaption of the Fullmetal Achemist Manga series. The series premiered in Japan on April 5th, 2009 in Japan, and it aired new episode every week until July 4th, 2010, when the final episode premiered. Funimation Entertainment also began airing English dubbed episodes on February 14th, 2010 on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

The Brotherhood series, unlike the original series, is based solely off of the manga. The original series branched off into its own series about halfway through, but the Brotherhood series is based off of the manga throughout the whole series rather than the first half.
